Access Berville-sur-Mer via the new Pont de Normandie, built in 1995 to cross the Seine at Honefleur. It is motorway all the way from Calais in less than three hours, and Dieppe in half that time. You can use the same motorway to come from Caen or Ouistreham.

And of course you are only 25 minutes from Le Havre. The drive from Paris is just over an hour.

The French road and rail network is second to none. For example, the early morning train from nearby Lisieux will bring you to the heart of Paris by mid morning. Drive to the Bayeux Tapestry in the west. To Caen (surely the best Sunday market in France), the D-Day beaches, and the magnificent Deauville and Trouville seaside resorts. To the East there is Rouen with the outstanding City Centre and West End shops, and for a perfect day out, Monet’s house and the famouslily pond at Giverny.
